This unique resource has been designed to meet the needs of students who find reading and writing difficult. Using a video to present ten stories, it introduces a Tanzanian woman, her family, and some of the day to day activities which take place in Sanawari, in the north of Tanzania. The teachers' handbook contains creative ideas for active learning, fulfilling many National Curriculum requirements. The materials recognise the need for differentiation and extension work within the classroom and will enable students with special educational needs to value their own knowledge and experience as well as learn about a distant locality.
