Developing the Global
Curriculum
A three-year Professional Development Programme that
supports primary and secondary schools in embedding
the global dimension into the curriculum. It will actively
engage young people in global development issues.
The project offers teachers support for
relevant curriculum development in particular subject
areas:
- to participate in a multi-national Teachers’
Study visit to Benin (Oct. 2011)
- to access the project website to download planning
tools, lesson plans,
- to engage in training programmes to increase understanding
of the relevance of global development issues
- to take part in one to one staff mentoring
- to share strategies for incorporating global issues
in the curriculum regionally and with Global Partners
- for training in different methodologies for delivering
the global dimension
- to involve the wider school community through the
loan of the Closing the Gap exhibition (free of charge)
